Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. She began playing golf at the age of 5 with the help from her dad James. She began competing in tournaments at the age of 8 and was able to win 50 junior championships within four years. She qualified for the 2014 US Women's Open at Pinehurst No. at the age of 15 and her father alongside her as caddie. She missed out on making cut at the LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot.
