Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her hockey-playing father. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. Aryna Sabalenka holds twelve WTA Singles titles. One of which was crowned 'Grand Slam' at the Australian Open 2023. As a doubles player, she's also an outstanding player. She's won two Majors with Elise Mertens, The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. She won two majors, in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing what is known as the Sunshine Double. Only four teams of women's doubles to achieve. In January of 2023 she achieved her highest rank in singles. On the 23rd of August 2021, she climbed to the second spot in the the world rankings. The same year she won at Melbourne, and after that moved up to number one in the world in doubles. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, coached her from the 2018 season until the end and part of the 2020 season. Dieter Kindlmann was her short-term coach between August and September of 2020. She has been trained by her native countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her heroes.
